Gyutaro appearing from Daki’s body and fighting Tengen Uzui is arguably the biggest surprise in Kimetsu no Yaiba: Yuukaku-hen.

The last episode of Kimetsu no Yaiba: Yuukaku-hen told us the reason why Gyutaro was in the body of his sister – Daki.

Gyutaro is very proud of this,  he considers her his pride and all the reasons for his existence in this world.

When Gyutaro and Ume were found by the former Supreme Xuan Luc and turned into demons, their lives were forever intertwined.

Gyutaro’s ability to exist inside Daki’s body is clearly not only so that the two never have to be apart, but is also the safest state for Daki.

Gyutaro declares to Tengen that he and Daki are inseparable, which not only refers to the fact that they are Shang Xuan Luc but also the pair’s close brotherly relationship.

Keeping each other warm throughout the winter, Gyutaro promises Daki that they will never be apart.

Even Kimetsu no Yaiba’s protagonist Tanjiro Kamado notices uncanny similarities between his relationship with Nezuko and that of Gyutaro and Daki.
