[Review] Andro Dunos II: Relive your childhood with an attractive side-scrolling arcade game
The game Andro Dunos II is a sequel to Neo Geo’s 1992 Andro Dunos, published by SNK.
What makes the game stand out is the ability to swap between four distinct weapon types, each of which can be upgraded separately and has the ability to fire at super speed and allow the player’s ship to deal massive damage in a matter of seconds.
In the main menu, the player can select standard arcade mode from levels 1 to 7 (with some additional features unlocked later).
The backgrounds are diverse and there are different enemy types between levels so players always feel fresh.
There are seven stages in total and three stages can be unlocked later, including a boss fight.
A pity in the game Andro Dunos II is that the rankings are not online to expand the scope of competition.
Returning to the main gameplay, when destroying enemy ships, players will receive three types of power-ups.
Losing a ship also reduces the power level of whatever weapon the player is using at the time.
In some levels, enemy ships and lasers can appear from any corner.
Andro Dunos II is an interesting game with a novel weapon system.
All in all, this game has the advantages of cool weapon swapping, interesting enemies and diverse backgrounds, flexible selection of levels and three difficulty levels.
