There are some types of ninjutsu in the Naruto and Boruto series that can render other ninjutsu useless.

1. Chakra absorption technique

This is a standard technique that some ninjas can master, a technique that can cancel ninjutsu.

2. Rinnegan Gakido

One of the abilities from Madara’s Rinnegan eye (which Pain uses) is Gakido.

3. Katon: Tenro

Katon: Tenro is a technique in Hozuki Castle’s prison that can make the victim unable to use chakra, meaning they cannot use ninjutsu.

But since this is a Fire-type jutsu, the victim can place his body in the water and he can use his jutsu again.

4. Izanagi

Izanagi is not a ninjutsu that can completely cancel other ninjutsu like the three above, but using ninjutsu is useless for Izanagi.

5. Karma Seal

Karma Seals possessed by Boruto, Kawaki, and Jigen can cancel jutsu.

6. Momoshiki’s Rinnegan
